the LORD God is:
A few months ago, a friend challenged me to read through the entire Bible in 90 days, twice in a row. I begun, and the journey was unbelievable. I'm so grateful God has provided me with so much time to focus on the Scriptures while I'm in China. Flying back to the states this past Friday (for the month-long Chinese New Year holiday), I came to the end of the Book, and found myself overwhelmed by God's steadfast love and faithfulness.
One of the most impacting aspects of this journey through the Bible was a little list I created along the way. I call it an Identity List, specifically of God. Every time I read a passage, verse, or phrase that directly stated an aspect of who God is, I wrote it down with the general reference. I wanted to do this because I've realized, through personal reflection and teaching from others, that most, if not all, of our struggles with our calling, our choices, our emotions, and our own identity can only find their ultimate fulfillment in who God is. This makes sense too, because it not only takes the pressure off of us, but puts all the glory on God. So, here is my list, though not quite in sequential order. I hope it refreshes you and helps fix your minds on the Lord God!
