to explore 

the smallest bug

or biggest ball 

or loudest train

you’ll watch them all

and oh, of course 

you’ll do it all yourself 

(which means, of course

with mama’s help)

life is so big

it knows no bounds 

there’s so much joy

yet to be found 

and life is small

still simple and sweet

no worries, just to

play, sleep, eat 

still you rest 

your tired head

on my shoulder as

we sing to bed
