And so, another year has come and gone, and what a year full of goodness it was!
| January meant settling into our new house, one of my favorite parts of which was setting up my office space with so many of the items and books I love! |
| In February, Zinni turned 6, and we had our first snow at our new house, twice! |
| March held our 4th annual Daddy-Daughter dance. |
| April brought Easter! |
| May held Star Wars Day (May the 4th), and we showed up in full attire again. |
| May also meant saying goodbye to the Hanson family beach house, such a special place with so many wonderful memories. |
June brought the end of 4th grade and Kindergarten - our first full year of homeschooling - and the beginning of summer break!
| We spent many days of the summer reading aloud The Secret Garden together. |
| July held our much-anticipated road trip! It was the highlight of the year for all of us, traveling through Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Sacramento, and back home again. |
| In August, Lucy turned 10, and our cat Dot had three sweet kittens. |
| September meant finishing off summer break with a trip to the Rockaway Beach Resort. |
| We started 5th grade, 1st grade, and pre-pre-preschool all at home! |
| October meant full swing into school, studying Mesopotamia (here they are re-enacting the Epic of Gilgamesh). |
| In November, Johnnie turned 2, and we spent the day doing all his favorite things, including riding a real "train" for the first time. |
| And finally, December brought Christmas, and along with it so much joy and togetherness. |
What a wonderful year it has been, one full of growth and sweetness. Here we come 2026!
