advent
Advent is here - the beginning of the season! Things are very busy here at school, so while I may not have the time to write a long post this week, I'm wanting to be very intentional about how I spend this Christmas season. I love that Advent (and Lent around Easter time) give us extra motivation and resources to focus on the hope, peace, love, and joy Jesus brings. Here are just a few things I'm using this Advent season to help keep my eyes on Jesus.
At Living Waters Church, the church I've been gathering with since I started at TWU, they have several online resources you can use individually or as a family! You can find them here: http://fortlangley.lwchurch.ca/news/comfort-joy
Or there are always great podcasts from A Jesus Church in Portland, Oregon! Check them out here: http://bridgetown.ajesuschurch.org/series/peace-on-earth-2013/
One of my favorite books during Christmas has always been "And the Angels were Silent," by Max Lucado.
I hope these things help you enjoy and embrace Advent a little more this year. Feel free to comment with your own ideas!
