2019 to 2020

It's that time again, time for my photo recap of my year in preparation for the launch of another. It's always incredible to me how much a year holds, and this one was no exception.

I got to serve as a CF (Community Facilitator) in Fraser Hall, and worked with some truly wonderful people to put on events for our dorm building.

As a CF I also got to work with a team of RAs, and I treasured every moment with them!

If I had to choose one single highlight from 2019, it might be going to Kaua'i.

Because Kaua'i deserves another picture...

I loved these still moments in Fraser 123 with my dear roommates.

I graduated with my BA in Linguistics, Minor in Biblical Studies.

We both graduated in 2019 - one from an MA and one from a BA. Grateful for all she's been through with me!

Summer started off well - May the 4th be with you.

Perfect slices of summer at Grammy's house.

I spent many lovely summer days working and resting at the Mount Angel Abbey.

Loved taking this Manitoba girl to the Pacific!

Grateful for faithful friendships that grow deeper and sweeter with time.

There's nothing like being with my solid seven - congratulations SharaLee!

First day of school, again! Onto an MA in Biblical Studies.

Random roommates who turn into friends is a great way to live life.

I've been amazed over and over by what I get to study, and who I get to study under.

The fun never ends - nannying these two has filled my heart!

Milo is talking up a storm now and it's melting me every single time.

Remi's favorite song is "It's You I Like" and let's be real, I will sing it for him every single time he asks for it.

Mom graduated with her second BA - congratulations and well done!

And I'm ending the year more committed to my Jedi identity than I started, because Leia says,
"Never be afraid of who you are."
(haha... kind of.)

What a year. I'm grateful for it. The photos capture the highlights and beautiful moments that I want to remember and commemorate. The photos don't recount the hard times, the hard conversations, the hard decisions, the hard feelings. But both the beauties and the difficulties continue to shape me into who I am becoming, and I'm grateful for 2019 for taking me deeper into myself.
