There’s something in this moment

I want to remember

The tears still drying on my cheeks

Alone with the stars 

Surrounded by the sound 

Of a theme I’ve always known 

Something in this moment names me

Calls me 

Pulls me upward 

Or forward

Or inward 

And onward 

Somewhere 

It’s not a choice or an acceptance

It’s not a revelation 

It’s 

a feeling

It will guide me

Here I am 

Standing tall
