where I find god

nowadays 

I am not looking for god

nowadays 

at least not like I used to

not like one looks for 

a shifting shadow 

or absent father 

I am not chasing 

vapor 

I find god 

where I find myself 

wherever I find myself 

for maybe god 

was always meant to be found

in us

in breath 

in wind

in emotion

in color 

in words 

words of a man who said 

“seek and you shall find”

where do I find god

nowadays? 

in the blur between 

creation and creator 

divinity and humanity 

earth and sky 

myself and everyone else 

my soul and the universe itself
