celebrations
We celebrated so many wonderful things this week.
First off, this man’s birthday. I am the luckiest to look forward to celebrating his birthday every year for the rest of my life. He is patient, kind, thoughtful, spontaneous, silly, smart, and so much more. I adore him.
Secondly, my littlest sister graduated high school. Over the years, she fought her way through many different schools and schooling methods, lots of obstacles, and still pressed on. And now she’s done. Congratulations, Jasmine. I’m so proud of you.
And lastly, a bridal shower hosted by my sister for me. Someone asked me if it felt surreal - this is my bridal shower, finally. Maybe it did feel a little surreal. But most of all, it felt right. It felt like one step closer to finally being married to my best friend, finally starting our family together, us and the girls. I’m so grateful for everyone who came to celebrate and shower me with support. And I can’t wait to marry Nate.
What a lot we have to celebrate!
