this season

 

we’re in that season 

where they’re growing up 

so fast 

 

where their shoe sizes 

keep astonishing me 

where their conversations 

keep amazing me 

but also that season 

where they’re still small

where their hands barely reach

the kitchen sink 

where their feet still dangle

from their car seats 

the play doh and mario kart season 

the barbies and baby dolls season 

the trampoline and soccer team season
