fall firsts

 It’s been a good week, one with many firsts.

First week of 3rd grade for Lucy, and the amazement of watching the little ways she keeps growing up each year. 

First week of at-home days for Zinni this year, with new routines like reading time after lunch. For a girl who has never been big on reading, I was thrilled to see that within a few days, she was asking US to read before we asked her! First week of preschool year 2 next week.  

First hiccups for baby; I didn’t realize what they were at first, but I’m totally in love with them. 

First litter of kittens found wandered in our yard; we had so much fun with them and found homes for them all. 

It’s been a good, good week.
