the way you look at me 

no eyes have ever looked at me before

so unwavering

taking me all in

your whole weight on my shoulder

your whole life in my hands 

in that gaze

I feel like your whole world

like a puzzle you’re piecing together 

like I’m everything you need 

you’re so new

it’s like you’re learning the world 

by learning me 

you won’t remember these moments

where we stare into each others’ eyes
