2024 to 2025

January was spent mostly at home, enjoying settling in to being a family of five, soaking in every moment of tiny baby Johnnie.

In February, Zinni turned 5! We had a cloud themed birthday party to celebrate, which I was thrilled about. She is getting funnier every day, and we love her so much.

March held the Daddy-Daughter Dance - the first one where both girls were old enough to attend!

In April, we started homeschooling after finally deciding that public school wasn't the right fit for Lucy. Who knows how long we will home school, but for now we are hoping it reinstills a love of learning and provides calm and stability.

May, of course, held Star Wars Day, and it was one I'll never forget - I was given a Medal of Honor by our library Star Wars crew, for being Rey faithfully every year!

In June we celebrated Nate - birthday and Father's Day. We are absolutely the luckiest family in the world to have the most patient, fun, intentional husband and father. We adore you, babe.

July held our Hanson family beach trip - it's basically impossible to get a photo with eight cousins where everyone's smiling.

In August, Lucy turned 9, and we had a blast throwing a Taylor Swift themed party. It feels like she gets older every day, and we're especially blown away by the glimpses of the grown-up Lucy we see now and then. She is an incredible girl and we love her so much.

September was back-to-school - starting Kindergarten for Zinni and 4th grade for Lucy, all at home!

In October we took a beautiful family trip to the beach with my mom ("Lita"). So grateful for the memories we made together.

In November, Johnnie turned 1. Somehow, even soaking in every single minute, it still flies by. We could not be more in love with our sweet buddy boy.

And in December, we moved into our new home! Though we find projects left and right (and NEVER want to move again), we love being here already.

And so, 2024 comes to a close. The best year yet. Of course, no set of photos will show everything - they show the highs, the smiles, the best moments. Of course there are the lows, the tears, the struggles, the hardships. But one day at a time, we have found so much joy in each other. We are so grateful. Thank you, 2024. And 2025, top this!
